VinceDAmico > Big 'ol rock face jutting out near the peak
VinceDAmico > The top. Way down around the left is base camp....still a long way from the hammock and a beer. It was about 75 degrees and perfectly clear on top which is pretty abnormal for this elevation. We took our time up there and enjoyed the views around Colorado
VinceDAmico > making our way up the chute. At this point I'm trying not to send large boulders down at Mark's head so we made sure to zigzag up
VinceDAmico > Mark grinding it out. Badass side story about Chapin: he calls me while driving back from backpacking the Wind River range in WY with Steve and I tell him we're on our way to bag Long's. So he decides to stop home, repack/restock, and then come climb a 14'er with us last minute. He's my hero...:)
VinceDAmico > Chapin coming up the skree field. It was a workout to say the least. From base camp to the summit was roughly a 4,000 vertical climb in 5 miles?...pretty steep
VinceDAmico > It's funny still seeing snow pockets at the beginning of July. This is also another good shot of the hike coming up, we'll shoot right up the V in the middle. Pick a route any route
VinceDAmico > going down
VinceDAmico > flowers everywhere
VinceDAmico > don't slip now. So all in all I think it took us 8 hours up and down from base camp. Great trip
